The Café Dobrevski project was created with the aim of blending the spirit of traditional Bulgarian ethnic style with a touch of modern French chic. Our team was responsible for the interior design and spatial planning, striving to unite tradition and modernity in a unique way.

The café features several distinct zones – a retail area, bar, an indoor seating space with soft furniture, low tables, and chairs, as well as a compact high-table area with bar stools. It also includes an outdoor garden that reflects and extends the interior design elements into the open air.

The interior features a combination of solid wood, metal, and textiles, which highlight the industrial nature of the lighting and ceilings, alongside vibrant color accents in the furniture. The flooring stands out with unique shapes, and the bar boasts a distinctive solid wood element.

One of the main challenges in the project was to blend the traditional Bulgarian spirit with modern elements without disrupting the harmony between coziness and contemporary aesthetics. This was achieved through careful material selection and the inclusion of handcrafted details, such as a hand-painted wall and engraved Dobrevski Family logos on the tables.

The design follows an ethno-inspired concept with modern highlights, incorporating industrial and French elements to create contrast. Unique features include an industrial metal ceiling adorned with greenery, handcrafted elements, and custom-designed furniture that emphasize the café’s identity.
The goal was to create a space that is not only cozy and functional but also inspiring—continuously celebrating the richness of Bulgarian heritage.

We have worked with the ATG Design team more than once – on both residential and public interiors. I truly appreciate their style, approach, and sense of design.
