The choice for a local trend – Color of the year, initiated by Orgachim, is a light beige shade
The color of the year is a trend marking that has become a long-awaited event. For the second year in a row, it was a pleasure for the ATG Design team to join the process of defining a local trend for Bulgaria through a special workshop organized by Orgachim and bringing together representatives of various companies related to exterior and interior.
Delicate shades of beige are a symbol of our connection with the root, with our base. Subconsciously reminiscent of clay, warm sands and earth, color brings calm and humility, while it can also be interpreted as a sustainable base on which to unleash our potential. In the interior, this could be interpreted through the combinations of color – on the one hand with natural elements such as wood, wool, cotton, hemp to ground us, or on the other hand with marble, gold and copper to emphasize our distinctive character.
We will show you how we apply it in residential interior design and how we combine it in the best way.
BejaView in combination
We love the ethereal and gentle essence of beige! It can be present both on the walls through paint, cladding, wallpaper, and on fabrics and textures of furniture and decoration, for example. When combining it with other colors – most often we choose the following approaches:
1) The gray-brown range very well emphasizes light shades of beige. At its core, beige is a warm and earthy color, so the combination with a tone containing brown invariably becomes a perfect combination. To achieve a variety of textures – you can add naturally dyed fabrics in these colors – leather, wool, linen, cotton, straw.
2) Accents – they can easily break the basic character of beige. Complex colors such as turquoise and blue-green contrast with the softness of BeigeView and bring a cold and fresh breeze. Gold and copper, on the other hand, have the opposite effect – they enhance heat, while at the same time inserting a noble shine.
A favorite trick that caresses the eye is the meeting between cold marble and warm wood through beige. The choice of milky marble with distinctive veins and dark wood for wall cladding or flooring goes very well with BeigeView – both in furniture and in wall color. According to the character, concept and budget of the entire interior, we can tip the scales even just by choosing BeigeView to be present as paint or elegant wallpaper with natural threads.
BejaView – the key to creating space
As a light color, BeijaView can “open” spaces by optically expanding them. The best application option would be to prefer the beige shade on a leading wall in the room and combine it with mirrors or other smooth surfaces such as glossy countertops or marble, for example. It is important to observe where daylight comes from and use it to the maximum to reflect the beige color and spread it throughout the space.
Beige tones are soothing and balancing, suitable for all rooms in the home. You can break its lead by choosing milkier or browner variations.
